Mack Redwood, a 22 year old office clerk, sick of his life in the small country village of Aaersaloth, looks to make something of himself. Set in 3021AD in the world of Ayla, the 'new earth', the book follows Mack and Skyla, along with Hunter, a disgraced former Paladin, and Mack's golden retriever, Ted. 'Return to Wrathmore' captures the groups escape from the Emperor's Paladin guard and the dreaded General Velnias.

Under Hunter's guidance, they seek refuge in the city of Wrathmore, on the other side of the famous 'Red Forest'. After visiting an old family member that Mack has not seen in years, they become affiliated with an ominous group known as 'The 27'.
